Hand sewed my 2nd bag ever in 90 mins and this time with no help.Am very pleased with myself.I hope to do more and sell them.Boo sucks to that HE teacher who refused to help me sew for being the wrong religion.
Congratulations for pulling it together in 90 minutes! Quite an accomplishment! :-)
I love bags. So much that my husband often refers to me as a "bag lady." I have faaar too many! But I never like to be away from home without a good book to read and having a good bag makes it easy.
By the way, I didn't see your comment on my blog before regarding headcoverings. (I have since enabled the comment alert). Here's my reply to your question about what my parents thought:
poppy dadwell, I didn't see this comment so forgive me for not responding sooner.
My mother passed away last year. My parents live two hours from me. Just a few weeks ago, I visited my dad and we attended the Latin Mass together. I wore the headcovering and he just marveled. He can't believe it but he's thrilled!
Of course, years ago, this is all he saw in the church. All women wore a hat or a veil in church until the early 1960's. He can't believe younger people are returning to this practice. :-)
thank you.in truth i too had forgotten about my comment.^_^i was always brought up to believe that the hair was the covering, so the transition is more difficult for me.
