Being a country mouse, I had to escape the city in the splendid weather. I retreated to a relatives farm in the countryside. Their house is a very old grand home a-tumble with excited dogs. My cousin has a baby bear who is just over one, with copper-gold curls, chubby arms fat legs and a pooh bear tummy. He toddles about talking gibberish with a solemn face and is a delight to have on one's knee. Yesterday we took him to the beach for his first paddle.
