The RUA exhibition

On Tuesday, my tutor requested her group attend the RUA exhibition in the old Harland and Wolff office, beside the Titanic's "birth" place. The building was a large red brick structure that squats on the desolate wasteland that was once a busy dockyard.Inside was decrepit and very cold.

Inside.Men used to sit in this very room in rows, designing ships.

Here's what it looked like in its heyday, before their "Unsinkable Ship" sunk and with it, its reputation:

Its odd our fascination with the morbid.

A satire painting.Obama is a foolish Jesus, Lady Britannia has shrunk in stature and power, anarchy rules, a Taliban is sighted, Hilary Clinton applauds the scene and the disturbed dove of peace flies away.

A miniature painting of a little girl.

I adore this piece. Its so serene and the detail is amazing. It's by Jennifer Trouton.

A close up at a beautiful print, depicting Orangemen in a bleak, dark environment.

Handmade paper "buttons".

A creation made from books.

Mixed text combined.

This tender piece really struck me.Its either print or pencil.

This sculpture appealed to me- despite its crooked spider legs.

A pallid ghost girl hanging in a jar.

A haunting print of two girls and with my refection.

A delicate and entricate drawing.

  1. Interesting. It shows that you're a student of art. Not my area I'm afraid. Something to be coveting, though.

I think I understood this correctly...do you live in the country of Ireland?
