Waking up to History.

This morning I woke up to my radio clock proclaiming Obama as the winner in the presidential race.So literally I woke up to history- the first African-American in the White House.

  1. Are you glad? Is that a silly question? I guess the color of this skin made absolutely no difference to me...I want to know what difference he'll make for our country and if it won't be dangerous?

Don't you think it's strange that the Iranian president (who can spell his name anyway) is congratulating our choice for president...don't you wonder why? He knows Obama won't be a threat to his nuclear program...

  2. To be honest, I don't know.

However I do know it is good though that a black man made it.Just 40 years ago, black people lived a 3rd class existance.America has made a real breakthrough.

  3. You answered that minutes after I posted it!

I've got 5:19 PM in Minnesota, USA. What's the time difference?

Historical speaking the Civil Rights Movement has risen from the shadows. Praise God for that! It is evil to degrade a person because of the color of their skin...but I'm considering the bigger picture here. Race, according to the statics, weren't even an issue for most voters here in America.

  4. Its amazing that we can communicate so quickly!!

Its 11:45 pm in Belfast.I'm at friends's home and one guy is singing hymns in Latvia with his guitar.

I don't know much about Obama's policies, but I do know he is not praising and boasting about the impoartance of war, like Mc Cain and that is important to people like me whos parents grew up with bomb scares and terrorism and whos grandparents lived during a civil war and war of independence. If our neighbour had left us alone, they would not have had to experience that.
